We specialise in fine 18th century collectors glass, Georgian drinking glasses, 19th century Victorian coloured glass and decorative antiques, silkwork and samplers. We stock mainly items of the Georgian, Regentcy and Victorian period. We also sell Art Nouveau and Art Deco items.
Christine Bridge Antique Glass is located in Castelnau, a tree lined avenue in the village of Barnes, just over the beautiful Hammersmith Suspension Bridge (Circa. 1887) and 15 minutes drive from Harrods (not in rush hour!). Number 78 is a large red brick Victorian House with driveway parking. The gallery runs the length of the house through to the lovely garden. The garden backs onto the marvellous new Wildlife and Wetlands Centre, an oasis for wetland wildlife just four miles from Hyde Park Corner.
Often described as 'Aladdin's Cave', in the gallery you can see the full range of serious early 18th Century Georgian collector's glass and a dazzling array of beautiful Victorian coloured glass. Christine Bridge Antiques operates from the gallery and is open any time but an appointment is essential as they exhibit at major fairs both in England and abroad. They have a sophisticated faxing and photographic scanning facility to keep regular clients appraised of new stock and will actively try and seek out particular items that are requested. They provide a glass restoration service for the removal of bloom, polishing of chips, and replacement of liners etc. All items can be packed, shipped, and insured from the premises.
Christine Bridge Antiques ABACUS Ltd produces the Antiques Dealer software package for client and stock details, and the general tracking and control of the whole business including VAT.
